Acebutolol Pharmacology |
Acebutolol |
About Acebutolol |
Cardio selective beta blocker, Antihypertensive,Antiarrhythmias |
Mechanism of Action of Acebutolol |
Acebutolol is a cardioselective ?-adrenergic antagonist with little effect on the bronchial receptors. It exhibits some intrinsic sympathomimetic activity and membrane-stabilizing properties. It decreases oxygen consumption and cardiac work.It prevent the release of rennin. It reduces blood pressure.Acebutolol also act as antiarrythmic agent due to beta blocking action. |

Acebrophylline Pharmacology |
Acebrophylline |
About Acebrophylline |
Bronchodilator, Mucoregulator, Antiinflamatory drug, salt of theophylline-7- acetic acid with ambroxol. |
Mechanism of Action of Acebrophylline |
Theophylline-7-acetate ha bronchodilator effect due to inhibition of the intracellular phosphodiesterases, followed by increase in cyclic AMP level which promote the relaxation of bronchial muscles. Ambroxol act as a mucolytic agent by increases the mucociliary clearance by stimulating cilia motility. Acebrophylline inhibit the synthesis and release of leukotrienes and tumoir necrosis factor and reduces inflammation. |
Pharmacokinets of Acebrophylline |
Absorption: Absorbed after oral administration Distribution: Widely distributed in the body Metabolism: Metabolised in the liver Excretion: Excreted through urine |
