Mechanism of Action of Amisulpride
Amisulpride is a substituted benzamide atypical antipsychotic with general properties similar to those of sulpiride and is reported to have a high affinity for dopamine D2 and D3 receptors.

1.Enhanced hypotensive and sedative effects when amisulpride given with opoid analgesics
2.Efficacy may be reduced by dopamine agonists
Typical Dosage for Amisulpride
1.Oral: Adult: ?15 yr: 400-800 mg daily in 2 divided doses. Max: 1.2 g daily. For patients with predominantly negative symptoms: 50-300 mg daily
2.Intramuscular: Adult: 400 mg daily
